After mulling over the Rocco bag for days, I finally gathered enough courage to call up Holt Renfrew and inquire about this baby. A funny incident happened during the phone call that only led to a slight disappointment as to how much their sales associates know about the brands they carry.
Me: Hi, I was just calling to inquire about your Alexander Wang Rocco bag. Do you have any in stock at the moment?
Sales associate: Alexander who?
Me: Alexander Wang's Rocco bag!
Sales associate: Let me go ask around. Please hold on a second.
..... waiting
Another sales associate: Hi there! We have it in stock.
Me: Could you please tell me the price of your bag?
Sales associate: Let me check
.... on wait again
Sales associate: It's $950.00
Me: hmm...and what colour do you have available at the moment?
Sales associate: Sorry, let me check again.
.... more waiting ... my poor minutes :(
Sales associate: Hi, we have the black and the grey-ish green.
Me: Do you have the gold studded one in black?
Sales associate: Oh dear, let me check again. HAHAHA Sorry.
I'm so sorry I had so many questions. I just wanted to make sure.
Sales associate: Yes we do!
Glorious gold studs.
I have to agree, this bag is beautifully constructed and the quality of the leather is sturdy and thick. But as many others Rocco owners have pointed out, this bag is quite heavy because of all the studs at the bottom. I personally don't mind the slouchiness and the lack of shape it has, but it's definitely a hassle carrying around the weight of three kittens in your arms. But for those who doesn't mind carrying the extra weight and wanted a bag the shape of LV Speedy but without the logo plastered everywhere, for sure, go for this. The other great thing is that the shoulder strap won't cost you another couple hundred like the LV does *pout*.
